MEET OUR LEAD PASTORS - TIM & RHONDA JENKINS
“God, if you will heal my son, I will raise him to serve you.”
This is how Tim’s life began when born with a heart defect and pronounced dead.
His father kept his promise to God and at the young age of 19, Tim became the associate pastor of Arlington Christian Center under Jimmy Hester. In 1982, he went on to graduate from CFNI where he was the campus evangelist. He then pursued a career in law enforcement for 26 years. He worked in patrol, criminal investigation, SWAT team, narcotics, and eventually became chief of police. However, Tim could not run from the call of God and had to do what fulfilled him, so while working in law enforcement, he began youth pastoring. He eventually retired from the police force and became a full-time youth pastor. During that time, his youth group grew to one of the largest in the county. Church has always been the center of Rhonda‘s life, where she began volunteering in the children’s ministry and eventually joined the worship team (you can still see her on stage getting her praise on!). She spearheads the women’s ministry where she creates an atmosphere of authenticity, fun, and a sense of belonging. Rhonda is also a successful businesswoman and has built a thriving career in real estate where she has served Wise County for over 20 years. After both experiencing a season of heartbreak, Tim and Rhonda finally met, fell in love, and married in a story of redemption and restoration which only God could have orchestrated. Between the two of them, Tim and Rhonda have seven children (including two adopted kids) and 11 grandkids. God spoke to Tim about starting a church, and on December 12, 2012, The Rock Church was born. Tim and Rhonda have experienced ministry firsthand their entire lives and the thing they both desire most is to be REAL. Real with people, real about their own lives, and never put on a façade for anyone, for any reason. Tim and Rhonda‘s heart is to, “embrace people just as they are, and love them into the saving grace of Jesus. Our desire is to see every walk of life enter the church and feel so loved and accepted that they are awakened to their true identities and who God says they are and they step into the destiny that was created and fashioned just for them.”

We believe God gives kids the ability and desire to deeply experience His love and presence, so we lead our events, plan our curriculum, and create resources with this in mind. Our hope is that kids are inspired and equipped to partner with Jesus in every area of their lives.
Kids Rock (K - 4th Grade)
In Kidz Rock, our primary goal is to make sure your kids have a great time while they are learning about God’s Word, and how to apply it in their everyday lives. Your kids will then stay in the main service with you throughout our praise and worship. After that, Pastor Tim will call all the kids up to the front and they will then be released to go with the children’s workers to The Kidz Rock service.
Nursery (Birth through 24 Months)
To check your baby in, just fill out a registration form at the information desk. Please allow a few extra minutes for this process.
All of our children's workers go through an extensive background check. You can rest assured that your children are safe in the care of trained and qualified teachers and nursery workers.
